Top 6 Reasons to Join the Horseshoe Lake Property Owners Association (HLPOA)
1. Support a Safe, Healthy and Sustainable Lake
We all want to be able to enjoy our lake now and for many years to come. Your membership helps support the water quality testing program, water safety signage, hazard markers, ongoing research on the changes in the health of our lake and support our involvement and advocacy in the greater lake community. You will be better informed about what you as a property owner can do to contribute to the overall health and safety of Horseshoe and Mirror Lake.
2. Stay Informed and Share your Input
You and up to 3 others involved with your property are eligible to receive our Keeping in Touch e-news which will be published at least 10-12 times throughout the year.
You will also have access to our members only portal on our website and our Facebook group. Through these various communications, you will receive pertinent, timely and relevant information that will help you stay current on key aspects related to your property ownership on Horseshoe Lake.
Your membership input is crucial to your Horseshoe Lake future. From time to time there may be specific requests for your input and you can also share it at any time by emailing horseshoelakeminden@gmail.com
3. Participate in our Events
Currently we have 3 flagship events that happen in the summer. There is a Kids Fishing Derby, an Evening Boat Parade and a Golf Tournament.
4. Support Those in Need in the Community
As an Association we donate annually to several charities in the Minden and Haliburton community, supporting services for those in need. We also encourage our members to make donations in the local community.
