Annual Boat Parade 2025

Sunday, August 3rd, 2025
9:00 PM Start

Whether you're in your boat or on your dock, plan to participate in this favourite Horseshoe Lake tradition.

Decorate your boat or dock with lights and help create a magical parade on the long weekend.  Advances in LED lighting in recent years have allowed some of our boaters to really step up the game with awesome displays.

Our lead boat is captained once again by HLPOA board member Rob Dippell.  Please arrive offshore at the Curtiss Boat Ramp a few minutes early so all boats can leave on time.  Once underway, please keep a safe distance from the boat in front of you and keep the pace set by the lead boat.  Check out the parade route on the map below.

If you're on your dock, light it up and cheer on the parade boats.

Lighted buoys will mark the way through the narrows in Little Horseshoe and the shallow rock area to your port side as you come out onto the Big Horseshoe.  Please pay special attention to these buoys.

If you have a floating swimming raft please make sure it is visible to boats in the parade.

Please practice safe and lawful boating.

The HLPOA acknowledge the lands and waters on which we meet, are the traditional homelands of the First Nation, Métis and Inuit peoples. Our beautiful lakes are fed from the north and flow to the south. We therefore acknowledge the Algonquin and Mississauga peoples as well as the governance of the Williams Treaties. We wish to express gratitude to Mother Earth, the resources we are using, and honour all Indigenous people who have been and continue to live on these lands.

Horseshoe Lake Property Owners association is committed to fostering a culture of diversity and inclusion in which every member, their family and friends are treated with respect and dignity.
